Hello and welcome to my website. I’m a passionate junior 3D Artist who is enthusiastic about learning and improving my skills with every new project I undertake. Over the short 2 and a half years I have been working as a 3D artist, I have had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from the Marvel Television Series creating 3D props and backgrounds to helping a small team create assets to a highly photo-real standard for print. I have also had to opportunity to learn high poly to low poly optimisation workflows for assets to be used in AR and VR apps for mobile devices. Most of my personal work follows a similar aesthetic and a similar subject matter of character creation with a vibrant,
colourful emotion.
Having lived and studied in New Zealand most of my life I became eager to explore. This prompted my move to London in early 2015 to further my experiences and opportunities within the 3D industry. My personality is described as energetic, friendly and hard-working. The parts of the 3D pipeline I enjoy the most include modelling, texture painting and baking high poly models to optimised low poly models. A long term goal of mine is to work my way into the role of a knowledgeable rigger and animator as I love super expressive characters. The many ways to portray emotion and character through movement is an element I want to bring to my work.
Started High School in 2004 and graduated in 2008 with NCEA level 3 and University Entrance.
Massey University Wellington Campus – New Zealand. Studied from 2009 – 2012. Graduated with a Bachelor of Design (BDes) Majoring in Visual Communication Design. Minoring in Digital Media Design with a focus on 3D Animation and Asset Creation.
CG Spectrum Mentor-ship Program. February 2014 – April 2014. A 3 month self chosen program with a mentor to guide the learning experience of the chosen topic. The focus was on the fundamentals of character rigging for production. Mentored by Morgan Loomis.
Karactaz Animation 2014 – 2015. Working with the studios Art Director to create 3D props and 3D background assets for Marvel’s animated television series. Shows include Avengers Assemble, Hulk And The Agents Of S.M.A.S.H. and Guardians Of The Galaxy. The assets were textured, lit and rendered then packaged for delivery to clients. Over my time at Karactaz I worked on 3 different series. Communicating ideas within a team environment was another required skill to get each show’s assets complete on schedule.

The small job required me to model some new barbel fitness equipment for the Les Mills brand.

Polygon CGI’s main clients are car companies. Most of the jobs involved modelling interior elements of the cars. Also creating low poly car interiors for mobile app development. Outside of the car work I also modelled a companies logo for a 3D print, it was later used in an advert for the company. I also created a low poly model of an Adidas Stan Smith shoe for a WebGL pitch.

A short 6 week contract out in Gaydon, Warwickshire at the Jaguar Land Rover facility. Creating 3D Jaguar Land Rover vehicles for a onsite digital portfolio library and configurator. Job included CAD data restructuring and clean up and modelling elements of the car.

Helping out on a couple of shows for the second season of the Thunderbirds TV series. Modeled a few major prop assets and a previs model.

A small test project for a prospecting client. The projects required us to create a small bow for a perfume bottle for Burberry.
